Roman's Nursery Tour
I'd have to say my favorite part of getting ready for the little man was putting his nursery together. Being a designer myself, I'm kind of obsessed with pretty spaces as well. Picking out all of the little details for his room and things to decorate his shelves with was so much fun. Although we're still working on the shelf game, I’m slowly but surely finding things I love to put up there. I knew I had to have a neat mobile for him above his crib, something different. And these little capiz shell, hot air balloons were so perfect for him to drift away to sleep with.
I’m a big fan of neutrals and earth-tones and I’m alllll about those white walls. Bright colors in rooms just make my head hurt. So I kept things simple and really gender neutral with white, tans, creams, and wood. I added black accents, a gunmetal diaper cart, and a couple plants in terra cotta pots! And I’m really hoping the kids grows up loving to read because, helloooo books. I couldn’t decide where to put his books shelves at first, because I didn’t want to waste wall space in an already small room. So I utilized the empty walls under his windows which ended up being perfect, because he can walk over himself when he’s bigger and pick out one of his favorites all on his own. And they all added pops of color and I really ended up loving it. He’s almost five months now, so this is a little late. (Okay a lot.) But better late than never, right? So here it is, a little tour of Roman's room!
